Description:

Help us Promote Slickguns.com and win some cool prizes. Share good deals with your friends to earn points. Top promoters will earn prizes, as well as additional random promoters will recieve prizes. Every promotional point you accumulate enters your name in the raffle, the more points you have the greater your chances are for winning the prizes.

Update - June 4th - 2012 - Effective immediately, promoting our website on any firearm forum is prohibited. Points accumulated until now will be accepted, but new posts and points from any Firearm Forums with referral links will be deducted and Promoters will be disqualified.

From now on, Facebook clicks will be rewarded with 2 points instead of one.

We apologizes for any inconvenience, but some promoters are violating our own contest rules and the rules of many firearm forums. Due to the post editing options on many forums, it is increasingly hard to determine who is abusing these rules.

Any illegal methods, black hat techniques, spamming, bots or traffic referral websites are not allowed and will result in disqualification. How It Works

Share our website or our deals with your friends and you can earn points for every person you refer to us. Promoters with the most points at the end of the contest will win some cool prizes.

To participate in our contest, first you must be a register user and you must be logged in to retrieve referring links, it is simple, Click Here and Register or Log in.

Slickguns.com Promotion Contest Terms and Conditions

From now on, Facebook clicks will be rewarded with 2 points instead of one.

1) Slickguns.com employees and moderators are not eligible to participate. In addition, registered dealers can participate, but will not receive any prizes.

2) To Participate you must be at least 21 years of age or older.

3) Slickguns.com can end the contest at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to software failure or lost data.

4) Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident to participate and able to legally acquire a firearm.

5) Any promoter must strictly abide by terms and conditions of any website, social network or internet forum where he or she is promoting our website.

6) Promoting our site on other Deal sites is not allowed, those points will be invalidated and the promoter will be disqualified

Congrats Mark :D.. I haven't had time to check in much lately, so I haven't looked at the scoreboard in weeks... _18,000_ views (for ONE GUY). That's insane.. The site seems to be picking up too.. I try to pop on when I can for a minute or two, and it seems like there have been more users on at all hours.

Glad to see these contests have worked out so well. The downside to that is, I definitely haven't had enough time to keep up with those kinds of numbers lol.. but I think I can live with that.

Its not that hard to get points. There isnt a "system" to figure out or to exploit. You just post promo links where you think they will get traffic. The guy in first has so many points because he has a VERY popular blog that he posts links on. Thats not exploiting any system at all, he is just lucky to have a popular blog with good information that a lot of people frequent.

Its really not that hard to get that many points. Yes, I do have a job (2 actually) and a life and still have 8k+ points. I know the guy in #1 has a couple popular blogs he posts a couple links on which nets him a lot of traffic/points. No way will I even get close to 20,000 by the end of the contest, ers001 could possibly do it by the looks of it.

Speaking for myself, I always try to incorporate my content links into a blog post that's on topic. Writing about ammo? Link the slickguns ammo section. Writing about handguns? Link the handgun section. And for generic anchor text, don't reinvent the wheel -- use the same tagline that slickguns uses on their main site, "best deals on guns and ammo posted by users". But as always, be careful not to cross the line to where your links can be taken as spam. Nobody likes a spammer. ... Good luck!
