Wouldn't you still have to
Wouldn't you still have to see the clerk of courts in your state..?
lol you can buy a printer for
lol you can buy a printer for 30 bucks new at china mart... sad excuse either rate.. this is coverage for quite a bit of states.
The class I took for my
The class I took for my Virginia CHP is totally free at:
http://www.mdgunsafety.com/
It takes about half an hour.
Of course you still have to go see the clerk of the court to show ID, verify your signature, and pay the fees associated with filing, background check, issuance. Start to finish, it took about two weeks to show up in my mail.
100 $ for each states fees?
100 $ for each states fees? Gtho of here. Thats 229 $ for the course and fees. And however much they c harge you to fingerprint you at yoir local police station. Also time and effort to print out the paperwork and mail it in. Think ill just go sit for an extra 6 hours in a classroom and actually shoot my gun. All for 100 $ out the door.
So you are complaining about
So you are complaining about those states charging that much? Where I live, its $80-$100 just for the class, plus $25 for ammo (for each gun) to qualify and then $97 for the state fee. Over $200 just for one state. Not to mention possibly having to take a day off work to take the class which adds another $200+ to the total cost. I don't know what state you are in, but consider yourself lucky if you can do if for only $100. Plus my state's ccw isn't valid in every state, so if you want to carry in those other states you still need to get another states ccw.
$29 to qualify for two states is a great deal. I'm tempted to do it just to qualify in Arizona as it covers a few more of the states that my ccw doesn't.
Oh and its funny that you mention the " time and effort to print out the paperwork and mail it in." That is hilarious. So you can sit through a 6+ hour class but 3 minutes to mail in a packet is too much effort? Wow that's laziness to the max.
Yeah. Its 100 $ for
Yeah. Its 100 $ for everything. And I dont have a printer at my house jackass, so yes, I would rather sit through an 8 hour class on a sat when im not working anyways than to waste more money and time. The nearest place to print something out like a staples is 15 minutes away. And my state does everything I need as far as other states coverage. I was just stating what some people may not have realized. Dont get so defensive.
Jackass, really? You are
Jackass, really? You are complaining about a great deal. Maybe its not good for you, but for most people this would be a really good deal. Your gtho comment is what I was commenting on anyways. This isn't a post for $1/round steel cased .223 ammo, this is actually a really good deal and you are bashing it.
