I picked up 5 Anderson lowers

I picked up 5 Anderson lowers as black friday specials from PSA. I'm very happy with the price and customer service I got from PSA.

At first glance they are absolutely on par with my Spikes lower, the finish is great on them. I have installed LPK's on three of them so far and for the first and third the install was perfect. Everything fell into place and I couldn't be happier.

For the second I suspect the holes for the trigger pin or hammer pin were off by a hair (I have not yet used my calipers to compare them to another lower to see if I could narrow down the issue). Everything seemed perfect on the install but when I function checked the hammer and trigger assembly the hammer would not lock back with the trigger pulled. I tried a couple other hammers and trigger assemblies and they all had the same issue. Fortunately for me I had a Timney trigger sitting around and I just installed that. With the Timney assembly it works fine.

I'm interested to see how the install on numbers 4 and 5 go. Personally as long as the next to are fine I won't hesitate to purchase Anderson lowers again at this price. Fortunately this wasn't a big deal for me and personally if I need to buy lowers in the future I wouldn't hesitate to pick up Anderson's again, but for some people this would be a big problem.

(I just want to mention I have put together lowers previously and I do know what I'm doing. That being said there is definitely the possibility that the problem I described above is somehow an error on my part. If I had to guess what the exact problem was I would guess the holes are dilled at an slight angle compared to where they should be. The Timney dropped in perfectly so the pin holes are the correct distance from each other. If anybody has any ideas I'm open to hearing them.)

just my 2¢, I bought two of

just my 2¢, I bought two of these lowers from larry's pistol & pawn on Dec. 18 for $124.84 shipped, and they were at my FFL on Dec. 20. If you don't want to wait 10 days for your lowers to ship from PSA and you don't mind paying a bit more, I'd say that's the way to go.

The quality of Anderson

The quality of Anderson lowers was not the problem over at AR15.com, they got their panties in a knot over some Anderson Mfg employees improperly pretending to be forum members. All the posts that I found that were from those that actually bought and use these lowers has been very positive. I got mine from PSA and could not be more impressed the quality.

Ordered 2 of these from PSA's

Ordered 2 of these from PSA's pre Black Friday specials that arrived already...quality seems real good, so Anderson seemed to have improved over the last couple years as AR15.com didn't seem to like them.
Got them with 2 Premium LPKs from PSA's Black Friday as well

Looks like a great deal to

Looks like a great deal to finish stuffing my secret Christmas stocking. PSA has always done good for me.
The $100 gift card with a Springfield pistol is a good deal right now too. Good thing its not on some of the other brands or my wife would be very unhappy with me.

Whenever I see that Anderson

Whenever I see that Anderson roll mark, I burst out into song:

She comes down from Yellow Mountain
On a dark, flat land she rides
On a pony she named, Wildfire
With a whirlwind by her side
On a cold Nebraska night

Oh, they say, she died one winter
When there came a killing frost
And the pony she named, Wildfire
Busted down it's stall
In a blizzard he was lost

She ran callin', Wildfire
She ran callin', Wildfire
She ran callin', Wildfire

Sorry to bust your bubble but

Sorry to bust your bubble but this picture is not of the Anderson but the PSA lower. Still gonna have the horse logo but who cares, its still worth over twice the price. I have one and it is a first rate forged lower as good as any I have seen.
