For the record, I have two of these and sold two NFAs. The ATIs are WAY better than the one used in the arfcom review, in fact, I would say current production of ati lowers are better than nfa without question. They also look stronger around the buffer tube area which is the major weak point I think, and something the cav15 (which i also own) all but eliminates.

I signed for a few of these lowers along with some forged lowers @ my FFL a week ago and I was VERY impressed. The Polymer is rock solid and lower is well crafted. I would get more if they come down in price but now I have too many lowers.

I have been wondering the same thing. It's not like PSA is an unknown distributor, or anything. Maybe the only market we have right now has already been saturated by poly lowers? If this was forged for $100, we would probably see sales fly by.

Never say it is not going to happen. Yes, on a NATIONAL Level I am not very worried. But on a State Level, you better keep both fists up and stay worried and vigilant. I am in Maryland and we are still very close to a AWB and almost certainly a Mag restriction from our already 20 rounders' to 10 round magazines. I have been lucky and only paid slightly "inflated" pricing for some of my stockpiled Lowers and Uppers , but I was fairly well set already. And I was all set way in advance for the ammo / mags situation

But ,if you are not conferrable with what you have in your safe or closets, at least make sure you have a lower or two if your into ARs or tactical weapons.

I was only talking about the panic buying it has sparked for nearly 3 months. I haven't given anything up, and I actually just watched 7 hours of live CO House proceedings on Monday and Friday. I live in a state where nothing is happening, and the bills at the Federal level are boring to watch, as they are going nowhere little by little. I know exactly how my senators feel, and my Rep won't change his mind.

The real fight will be in 2014. Just remember how you're going to vote on that day.

At $69, i dont see you losing money. I think the days of $99 forged lowers are over. I got a couple of these, and they're nice. Unless you're using your ar as a club, they should be fine.

I already have an NFA complete lower, and an ATI Omni is at my FFL right now, so I guess I'm good. Just had Black Gun Fever for a second.

I'm hoping the ATI lower I have is nicer than the one in the AR15 forum thread, because I was going to add a nice LPK, Magpul stock, and RRA ERGO grip. If it's not as good of quality as the NFA lower, I'll just switch the plastic parts from the NFA onto the Omni, and use it as my cheap/light 14.5" gun.

My FFL doesn't charge me transfer fees, so everything on the internet is tempting.

Good to hear about the quality of your ATI lower. I guess I will hold off on getting any more polymers, and try to find a nice billet or forged lower to do a hefty quality build on.

For those who would go forward with it as a plinker, 22lr, etc DO NOT use commercial buffer tubes.
Actually, I would never even consider a commercial buffer as they fall below ANSI minimum OD requirements.

I'm not sure how ATI polymer lowers stack up against the competition but I would put my NFA polymer lower against many other AL ones. Check out www.lw15.com on how they stack up. The videos on there will amaze you and make you reconsider polymer. Besides if you like Magpul well those are polymer (so you won't want to touch them would ya?)

No thanks. They couldn't give these away for $29.....so why would anyone buy these? Plenty of Lowers available. It amazes me that someone would be so desperate to get a lower in the first place. There is NO ban, there will not BE a ban, and if there WAS a ban it wouldn't be for months at the soonest. Feeding the hysteria for absolutely no reason is why there isn't anything available. Be patient, and you will find plenty of $100-$200 Forged lowers readily available. These are junk.

How can you say there will not be a ban? They have essentially banned machine guns. Reagan banned the manufacture of machine guns, Clinton and Congress banned military-looking weapons and high capacity magazines for ten years, Clinton banned the importation of a long list of weapons (remember when Uzi's were a dime a dozen), Bush43 banned importation of another long list of weapons and parts. They have been infringing on the 2nd Amendment for 80 years so don't think for a minute that they cannot pull off another un-Constitutional stunt. The Shrunken Head very clearly stated that banning "assault weapons" and "handguns" was going to be a priority during the next four years. He didn't hesitate a minute to get started either.

But the bigger reality is that these AR-exclusive manufacturers / builders / dealers don't have a business plan that extends past a federal ban. They don't have to worry about a reputation or honor a warranty once they've dissolved due to a ban. From here on out, the norm by many of these little shops will be to gouge or push faulty crap out the door, or both.
