I own this one. It comes set up differently but you can configure it as you wish. It's fine for the AR. In fact, it's fine for almost everything. I like it a lot. I paid $549 about four months ago. I would recommend it.
Wonder if it's deep enough for AR's? I have a Cannon safe but it has the "double - U" shape to the gun storage, so I can criss-cross the guns. With this one they all look to be lined along the back, which usually means the safe isn't very deep. With 30rd mags and optics... Might not fit. It *IS* only 18" deep, so that is pretty shallow for "tall" guns.
My general rule is taking the listed capacity and dividing by at least 2, if you intend to leave the optics on.
That's a good rule of thumb.
One of my safes is this same depth with a thick composite fill door. It will hold a flat top AR10 with large 50mm AO optic. If I want to store it with a mag I can cant or twist it 45 degrees to the side, but I personally never store rifles in my safes with the mags inserted.
The one I looked at in store wasn't set up like the picture it had two u shaped cutouts
Seems like a deal. Only issue with concealed hinges is the door doesn't open fully. These are nice safes if you can live with the door issue
Cannon makes great safes, I do like that my Winchester safe has a door that swings totally open though. But man this is a steal!
