I was pretty disappointed in
I was pretty disappointed in this book, it was very superficial, reductive, and rudimentary. More of a primer than an actual guide. A BSA handbook and a coupe of vintage army field manuals make for a better resource set than this. Lots of pictures, bullet points and big print- I went cover to cover in one sitting. It makes a good gift for those just getting into disaster prepping, or for a spouse who is trying to wrap their heads around what drives and motivates "preppers" to do what we do.

Also, this cracks me up that a survival guide would be in digital format. When you need it the most, I sincerely doubt your kindle will still have a charge in it.

Ours also recharged quite nicely when I tested it on that opetka solar battery too. Holds 100s of reference books in a tiny, slim, format as well. I get his point though, but this book wouldn't be much helpin a catastrpohic event anyways.
