Hera Arms Polymer 30 Rd (5.56/.223 mm) Magazine w/ Window - $25

Description:

Brand new from HERA ARMS comes a polymer 5.56/.223 mm magazine which will fit any AR-15 or M16 rifle with an upper half chambered in the 5.56 mm or .223 mm caliber. Very hard to come by and only on sale at Stag Arms. If you like polymer Mags, these are the mags you need to get. The next step up in the mag world by far is the Hera Mag. Hera Mags are light, durable and unique. They have a huge window for ammo viewing to see when your low. Very rare and hard to come by. Talked to a Stag Arms rep and they said they only have 50 for sale and once they are gone, they don't know when or if they will ever get these again. I bought two and wish I bought more. Wanted to share this with everyone because they are the coolest mags I have ever seen.

I just found this and wanted

I just found this and wanted everyone to know that the description above is incorrect. Stag is not the only company that carry these magazines. This is also the OLD 2013 pricing. They are brought into the country from Germany by LAN World. They have them on their website for sale for $18.95 in 3 colors. These are WAY better than my PMAGS!!!

Pretty cool but I am with the

Pretty cool but I am with the others, too much for a windowed plastic mag. I will wait a little while and see if they drop to the $15-20 range and maybe try one then.

I wonder if those little "wings" that square the angled portion for the magwell will hang when inserting. Not sure I like the idea of little appendages coming off the top of my mag.....

NO. NO. If a drill instructor

NO. NO. If a drill instructor ever caught you holding the mag for support... you would be making sand castles for a relay long time. mags feed ammo and should not be used for weapon support! MAKO makes a grip to go over the well specificity to NOT hold the mag. Holding the mag for support CAN case FTFeed FTFire malfuntions and should just be avoided. DON'T reply with "DUUR I do it all the time and it wokx fane fro meh!" when its on the line, you really want to risk it? I'll keep to mags I trust!

Correct, do not hold AR-15

Correct, do not hold AR-15 weapon by the magazine, that will jiggle the feed lips and put your next round askew; or too, have a bolt blockage...

Also, do not prop up the weapon on its magazine while firing (especially from the prone position); same issues, feed lips out of kilter, bolt blocking, etc...

Hold the weapon by the fore grip, and use your elbows whilst in prone firing position. Regards (MSG Swampie~~ 25 yrs US Army Infantry, to include Drill SGT, and NCO academy instructor).

Here's the issue.
This is a deal site. We look for a good deal here.
What has been posted is new and cool, and only available from Stag, so nice as it is, there is nothing to show you are better off buying this over another product or at another site. A deal requires comparison.
Since this is new, you can't compare quality and reliability to a Pmag. If you compare price, well, the Pmag is a better deal. Maybe there should be a new category for things that are new and not really a deal?

Whats worse is that Slickguns

Whats worse is that Slickguns doesn't allow all the deals to be posted by users. There are some sweet deals out there that I tried to post and never showed up. I wonder why, and how that helps the community get the best deals. ....I take it with a grain of salt, the good deals aren't on here, most of the time but it's a decent place to start and browse.

Well said. Damn....someone

Well said. Damn....someone finally got it There IS a place for this kind of stuff...on the Slickguns forum. Not a deal at all. Especially when there are other tried and tested options that have been proven battle effective and reliable for a cheaper price. This is not AR-MallRats.com

Funny how people are so quick

Funny how people are so quick to forget, or maybe don't even know since they just entered the AR15 market within the last year. Remember when Magpul introduced the first PMAG at SHOT show? Everyone was so tore up about paying "good money" for plastic. Now almost every rifle is shipped with a plastic mag. The only reason PMAGs are cheaper now is how successful they've become. They originally retailed for $20-25. Hera is a German company, so I'm guessing import costs are being factored into the $25. Hera also makes a pretty cool adapter to the AR buffer tube that allows you to have a side folding stock

Thanks for the non-answer. I think a more appropriate analogy would be if Kia decided to charge double the price versus a similar Honda.

ultimately im just trolling.

ultimately im just trolling. none of the mags on this site are exactly steal of a price. but i would always be willing to do what i can to help companies get off the ground and bring us new products even if it means spending 10-20$ more here and there while they get started... that is, if they are quality products! if it turns out to be junk then forget it.

Ya the problem here is that

Ya the problem here is that it's not magpul!!! Magpul or nothing, everything else is just a cheap knockoff. Magpul invented the magazine, pistol grip, and handguard, and buis. Before Magpul we had to chamber every round by hand while burning our hands on the barrel and taking buffer tube bruises all over the shoulder and torso, aiming by lining up the barrels with just our eyes. HOW DARE anyone not use Magpul components in every position on an AR which they manufacture!!!

OK, what makes these

OK, what makes these magazines worth double the price of a PMAG?

or dont buy one at all, i

or dont buy one at all, i dont care as im not invested into it... just saying that $25 is a fair price if its quality unit. Once a new entry to the market has earned back their large investment, they will get more aggressive on price competition.

Dont compare it to a PMAG,

Dont compare it to a PMAG, just look at it for what it is. Buy one and see how you like it if you care. $25 for a quality mag aint bad at all, even if you can get ones cheaper. So try and just isolate the product for what it is and what you get for the money, not compare it to cheaper options. Trust me, I have almost all PMAGS, but thats because I havent yet found another plastic mag i like. I will probably try buying one of these just for the sake of mixing it up and see how I like it. The cost doesnt bother me... I work in manufacturing and specifically in machining and injection molding. I understand the investment and costs associated with making these. Nobody can really afford to take the risk of going into the plastic mag market and hitting the mass production volume needed to compete with the bread and butter PMAG. Imagine if they made a batch of 5 million mags just to find out nobody likes them. Gotta let new products pick up steam, give them a chance if they priced fair such as this at $25. If it becomes the next PMAG because people end up liking it, prices will come down as volumes go up.

This is all based on YOUR

This is all based on YOUR opinion and preferences which pretty much only means something to you and you alone. I will give you an example. Here is the best Mag on the market today that I would pay over $15 for. Regardless, How is this a deal? What is the regular price for one? Is this the "SALE" price? If I wanted to pay full price then I wouldn't need to look on this site would I?

I actually havent stated any opinions or preferences? the lancer mags look nice, im glad you like them. ive been meaning to try them out myself.

anyways, im not sure what you are loosing your shit over, but i was talking to another member about why new products to market can be more expensive when they first come out... your mag preference is mostly irrelevant to the discussion.

just saying that $25 is a fair price if its quality unit. To me that pretty much sounds like an opinion. And who gives a rats ass what industry you are or have been in. My point again is why is this regular priced item on this site? Posters should go to the forum and post there if they want to introduce new products to you mall rats. Lastly, if anyone is "loosing" their shit its you.
