The crap ammo makers are taking advantage of us by hiking prices up while the Premium American Ammunition is unavailable. As a cop I have been taught to rely on my weapon to save a life and I don't trust low quality substandard ammo, especially when the cheap quality stuff is at all time high prices. In 18yrs of shooting 500+ rounds weekly I can tell you that Mil-Spec XM193 & XM855 is priceless and very rarely malfunctions. Wait for Federal to catch up from the election and purchase the good stuff. Ohh I almost forgot thank all your buddies who voted blue for the shortage!

this price is an insult
$300 per th ousand gets you brass .223 if you look around on this site. 320-350 easily gets 5.56 per thousand. the plastic dry storage boxes arent worth a damn either. cabelas would sell a lot more ammo if they stopped dumping their plastic boxes an every bulk order

A month ago they were selling them $199 for 1000 rds plus free shipping for both 55 and 62 gr. Also if you noticed back then the reviews were hidden from their website. I had to dig online to find the results of those reviews. Overall they averaged slightly above 1 star from about 12 reviewers. Now they have 30+ reviews on this ammo and the average rating is above 3 stars. You have to ask yourself is the product getting more favorable reviews because of recent exposure due to the deep discounted price or do they have their own people writing them. From what I understand the ammo is basically rebranded Wolf, and at the current price there are better deals elsewhere.

Decent plinking ammo, but watch out for the extra $16 "Large Or Heavy Items" charge on top of $20 shipping (for 2 cases)!
