of all my plinkers, my 22/45

of all my plinkers, my 22/45 is my favorite by far. I'm usually pretty good about cleaning but my 22/45 can easily handle 1000 rounds + without cleaning. It's always nice to know you have a piece that you don't have to worry about working properly.

This is a solid price. I love my 22/45 but it IS the weight of a 1911. So in my head I'm thinking "it's nice for training" but I'd love something lighter, throw a micro red dot on. This is a sweet gun at a good price.

Yep I just got mine in from sportsmans and I love it, it's alot lighter then my old 22/45 and looks great with the wood panel grips. My old one was one of the first mark3 models with pretty much the solid grip. This one's more expensive then the basic models but I consider it well worth it.

I'm hesitant, lots of forum posts about SR22 not shooting cheap ammo.

Continue to be hesitant and

Continue to be hesitant and buy a 22/45.

It is the PINNACLE rimfire pistol.

These days you'll see a lot of .22 pistols at the range and I guarantee you they all pale in comparison to the superiority of the Ruger MK Series.

The only contender that even comes close in accuracy and reliability is the Browning Buckmark. In my experience they're always slightly more expensive and in my opinion aren't as nice looking.

The Browning requires tools to take down, the Rugers are just confusing as hell until you get the hang of it.

I recently purchased an sr22

I recently purchased an sr22 and I absolutely love it. I have used about 7 dif kinds of ammo ranging from the cheapest remington and winchester I could find to aguila and cci. It fired everything with zero trouble. The only thing was that I had to cycle each powderless colibri shot by hand but thats normal.

My SR22 pistols both shoot

My SR22 pistols both shoot whatever ammo I put in them, usually Remington bucket but also cycle Aguila subsonics.

A friend of mine has the SR22. Honestly the 22/45 has a lot to live up to...I'm thinking I may still like the buckmark the best out of all 3....

Now that I've got the

Now that I've got the Volquartsen target sear, VQ adjustable trigger, and Mark 2 bushing (magazine safety elimination) in my 22/45 lite, along with a bushnell trs-25 red dot, and hogue wraparound grips, it is my favorite pistol. For stock, the buckmark still wins. For modified, the 22/45 is the best route. The trigger pull is now 2.5-2.75 lbs and all of the pre-travel and over travel has been adjusted out. The buckmark is still really good; comes from the factory with no pretravel/little overtravel and mine is 4.5 lbs trigger pull stock, but well broken in. The URX grip camper model is the most comfortable version of the buckmark in my opinion.

Barely a good price, was $360

Hopefully you're kidding.

Hopefully you're kidding. The one you linked is the old model that nobody wanted because of the "champagne" color. $400 is a great price for this if you want one.
