Gander Mountain is kind of shady. My wife purchased a rifle she thought I wanted on the website. I called back a few hours later and they told me I couldn't cancel it since it was processing (didn't ship yet though). Go get a refund at the store, which I did. Then one of the employees said that the gun had to go to the back to "fix it up". I thought what was he talking about. Then heard him say "put a scope or something on it" So basically, they were trying to make a $1200 rifle into a $2000 rifle by adding junk to it knowing that since ar's were really scarce someone would buy it at any price. As if making $500 on the gun itself wasn't enough.
I thought I misheard the guy, but my brother and wife heard the same thing I did. While you can purchase somethings there, they are really raking people over with their prices because they know people want it no matter what. They previously made a $1000 M&P 15 into a $2050 rifle about 3 weeks before that I saw there.
I think it is also ridiculous they charge $25 for shipping the gun to their store to pick it up. Thats on top of their price.
Oh well, I learned a lesson. No more shopping there for me.
