The Joe Bob barrel is $149,
The Joe Bob barrel is $149, non chrome lined, but another option. i think it's the same as the Spikes basic Barrel. I have one for my A2 clone, and it's a great barrel......I also use the Anderson 14.5" for $110....good luck with both.

Yeah, I just prefer the Middy......they shoot a lot smoother. I sold all my carbine length AR's. The accessories aren't really any cheaper. the only thing different would be a gas tube thats about $.99 cents cheaper. Delete the Delta pack, and run a floating rail and you may end up spending $20 more, but get a more reliable rifle.
i do like my Adams Arms piston carbine though. i'd only run a 14.5" carbine if I had to do a DI .
anyway, nice to see this barrel under $200. SGCUSA had a complete Middy, chrome lined with barrel nut, gas tube, and A2 gas block/sight post for $189 a few weeks ago but they sold quick.
