Bought this rifle from AIM a

Bought this rifle from AIM a few months ago when they offered 5 free PMAGs with it. It has fired everything I've fed it with no issues. It feels like a quality firearm - nice tight fit with everything, no rattling, etc. Would recommend.

Is this a pretty good quality good? Seems like a really good deal, but has not got any traction on here. Can someone tell me whats wrong with this?

Spike's Tactical is excellent

Spike's Tactical is excellent quality. Their price/performance ratio is hard to beat, in my opinion.

This deal probably won't get many up-votes because the price is $30 more than it was.

You're also likely to get a better deal if you buy the upper and lower separately. The only extra you're getting with this upper is the MBUS rear sight. Most people will want to replace the hand guards, so these will probably sit on a shelf unused. The lower is just a standard (good quality) lower plus a T2 heavy buffer.

People would have literally climbed over each other for this deal six or eight months ago. Today, if you're patient you can pay a little less.

That said, if you want an AR right now, you won't be disappointed with this one.

I agree about quality but I

I agree about quality but I can't see getting a better deal even if you buy pieces on their own... Here is my math (assumes all spikes components):
$550+ship for midlength upper
$100 for stripped lower
$60+ship for LPK
$70 - Buffer tube kit
$30 - Stock
$50 - Rear sight
>$860 Total...
Anyway... it really depends on if you want THIS configuration as you said. Sure, I have built a few AR rifles and can make a better one for cheaper... BUT I went ahead and jumped on this for $799 because I needed a relatively cheap one for a special purpose (SHTF gun at mom's house). Lifetime warranty helped that decision.

Yeah, for the convenience,

Yeah, for the convenience, the total saved may not be enough to justify finding individual deals for the parts. It really does come down to the configuration you want. I personally wanted MOE furniture. I was able to build this exact rifle in Magpul form for $50 less. (My build did use a PSA lower, but the quality is virtually identical to the Spike's lower receiver made by Aero Precision.)

My build was...

This upper without hand guards: 490
MOE hand guards: 20
MBUS rear: 40
PSA MOE complete lower: 200
