The price rose was as high as

The price rose was as high as $332.49 on election day, but dropped back down to $308. Fortunately I was able to cancel my order the next day. I would bet that pricing will continue to drop to $299'ish in a few weeks.

The ammo is good to go. I have had no problems at all. I bought 1000 for this price of $308. now, after the election, the price will go under 30 cents per round. I will wait to buy more.

One case open crappy SG

One case open crappy SG packaging. Top of case torn open in transit and 4 20-round boxes fell out and lying loose in the shipping carton. No ammo missing. My other case in the same order is fine. At least they shipped me Wolf Gold .223.

Does anyone have experience

Does anyone have experience with this ammo and PMC Bronze or PMC X-Tac 55 grain? How do they compare in terms of accuracy and how clean they shoot?

$296/1,000 Wolf Gold shipped

$296/1,000 Wolf Gold shipped for the 223 when I bought 2 cases. That was yesterday with the 'take an extra 5% off' Sportsman's Guide club coupon, that took an extra $32 off. This stuff tested much more accurate than LC XM193 in a very comprehensive test by Molon over at ar 15 dot com and only about 25 fps slower than the XM193.

Ordered a case of this last

Ordered a case of this last Thursday along with a case of Gecco 7.62x39 fmj. Received two cases of steel cased Wolf hp 7.62x39 from them a week later. Proceed with caution when ordering from Sportsmansguide. They are a shadow of their former selves and have atrocious customer service. Just my two cents, but can't say I didn't warn you.

I paid $308 for this same

I paid $308 for this same deal a few months back from SG so this is even better even if only by $5. I have had 0 issues with this ammo through my S&W M&P15 after about 800 rounds. It is far more accurate than I am.

I've had no issues with Wolf

I've had no issues with Wolf Gold through over 1,000 rounds in a Ruger AR556 and a Windham Weaponry AR. Accuracy seemed to be better than pmc bronze and pretty close to the same as federal xm193. SG has always shipped within about 3 days of ordering. I'm confident with all Wolf Ammo in my ARs and AKs.

Holy crap people. 67 comments

Holy crap people. 67 comments of jibberish with everyone boasting about what they paid and ridiculous talk about currency exchange rates. fine if that's what you're into, but why the hell doesn't anyone have a damn comment on the ammo itself and the associated performance of it? I don't give a shit what it cost you to ship your order to Kuntucky opposed to another person shipping to South Redneckville, I just want to know if the fucking ammo goes BOOM reliably and what cons there may be with performance. I don't care about $10 +/- either way if the ammo is crap. More comments regarding the product itself would be appreciated.

The whole point of slickguns

The whole point of slickguns is to find good prices. No surprise to me that the subject matter of the comments is in fact the cost. This is the place for that more so than product reviews. If cost is no concern then don't waste your time on slickguns. I keep my price bashing to myself unless I am on slickguns as this is the place for it.
This is great ammo, everyone happy with it and it's accuracy. Research will net you people who used an imported wolf gold years ago that complained; but the stuff being sold today runs great. Everyone is impressed with the bang for buck on wolf GOLD, but not so much on some other wolf products. This stuff is the best brass cased buy out there by my experience and research.

I can determine on my own if

I can determine on my own if the price is right IF I know that the ammo is worth buying in the first place. I can see the price, what I don't know is if it is reliable and consistent - that information is much more useful that someone's opinion on the price.

You could take about 4

You could take about 4 minutes to open a new tab and read an entire internet worth of reviews on this ammo.

Or you can bitch and moan that after someone already found the deal for you, that they didnt also serve up the perfect review for you on a silver platter.

I guess it just depends on if you like solving problems or creating them for yourself and complaining.

Their policy states that it

Their policy states that it will ship within 3-5 days in most cases and usually a label is generated within that time frame. Got my 1k of wolf gold over a week ago and noticed that when they said it was in stock and showed "order pending" after 3 days. (ordered Thursday and was still pending on Monday following) So...i sent them a message through their site and the next day miraculously, it was prepared for shipping. Don't wait on them to ship it especially if it's been 3 weeks because it probably got lost in the system. It happens yet I've only had this happen one other time in one year and they've made good both times. Got it for .28 a round. Stock up people...if Sllary Clinton get's elected it's all over.

For $5 more I bought this

For $5 more I bought this same item from Copes two weeks ago. I'd spend around $2500 on this deal to finally save $5. $40 for membership you gotta buy 8 before seeing the savings. That is my general findings every time I pencil out a club program. Maybe a club would save me money if slickguns didn't exist because it would be far too time consuming to search for the deals. Joining this club is not a good deal. Sportsmen guide will probably never get my money as long as slickguns exists. There's always a better deal unless you plan to spend thousands a year at your membership place. Let me say thanks to slickguns and fellow posters for sharing good deals!

31 cents per round shipped is a pretty good deal ladies and gents.
Being a member of SGs club is worth it. It pays itself off many of times over depending on how much and what you buy from them.
Theres some great deals to be had with the coupons.

This ammo was 30 cents per round SHIPPED in a friggin 40mm ammo can for the previous two months. discounting the value of the can, that's about .28 per round. This is a decent deal if you need ammo NOW, but if you can wait, there's better deals out there.

That's what some folks don't

That's what some folks don't quite understand. Just like shopping at Sam's Club instead of Walmart, the membership DOES save you money in the long run.

You may not save too much if you buy tiny amounts, but placing more orders or larger orders adds up to more than the membership. Last year I broke even after my second order from them. The next three orders were just gravy.

Back on topic: I think I'll pick up a few boxes of this stuff just to have it. Can't hurt at this price point, and I'll need something for when I finally complete my AR.

It's looking more and more

It's looking more and more like the ammo section on Slickguns is becoming nothing more than a secondary website for Sportsmans Guide with the same ammo repeatedly being posted at the same price.
